Lace KAL update

This Adventures in Lace KAL is turning out to be pretty awesome, I think! I've been working on my Percy shawl for five days now, and I love it so far. I've made eight repeats of the A chart, and I think I might actually make eight more before I start the dreaded chart B (where there is patterning on both sides!). I have LOTS of yarn, so far you could hardly tell that I've used any at all. So maybe this yarn will turn into two shawls, eventually :)

I apologize for the somewhat blurry photo, my camera doesn't use the anti-shake mode when I'm not using the flash... I don't know why, but that's just the way it is, I suppose.

I've had my Echo Flower shawl on ice for a while, but as I took it out to photograph it today, I'm getting more and more bent on working on this one for a while too. The colour is just so yummy, and I love working with it as well. It's KnitPick's Shadow, so 100 % highland wool, but it's not scratchy at all. And once again, sorry for the blurryness!

We've gotten a lot of snow here this past week, and it's getting to be a problem when the plower's don't have anywehre to put all the snow! We have a HUGE pile of snow on the parking lot outside our house, and there is also about a meter of snow right behind my car. It's been sitting still for a while in it's parking lot, and now I can't get it out unless I shovel the snow away! So I guess it will just have to sit for a while longer. Anyway, this is the view from our kitchen window the other day:

It's very pretty, but we've had consistent snow since about two weeks before Christmas now, and I'm really getting tired of it. I just wish it could be spring now, or even better, Summer!

We're also having a major cleaning weekend this weekend. I wonder why you always wait until the apartment looks like utter chaos before you get around to actually cleaning? I know it would be so much easier to do a bit of light cleaning more often, but neither one of us seem to be able to get our butts off the wagon until it really is desperately needed. So today we're cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming, dustwiping and throwing out all the recycle-ables. I can't wait til we are finished (I'm on a break right now, the kitchen is soon finished and the bathrooms are done). I think we'll have to do some laundry tomorrow as well.

I'm sorry, I must be boring you out of your skulls! Who wants to hear about our cleaning ordeals?! Let's just get back to some more fun stuff, ok? We're going to watch the Where the Wild Things Are movie this weekend too! I can't wait to see it, I've heard that it is supposed to be really good. I just love the book, and the trailers have looked really good too. We're going to pick up some yummy snacks and stuff for it today too!

All right, I'd better get back to cleaning, so I can get some knitting done today as well!

Bring on the summer! I could use some warm sunny days right about now.
My boyfriend and I do the exact same thing when it comes to cleaning or we wait until someones coming over and then we start to frantically clean.

I too an so DONE with snow. We've had something like 60 (and counting) consecutive days with snow on the ground here in central Iowa...and I'm ready to see some ground...even if it's just dead, brown grass!

The shawl looks great! I think I might try to take a picture of my scarf later today. At least all that snow is good for reflecting a little more light into the house.

Winter is a great time for knitting. Sitting with your warm wool and looking outside at the snow.

Love your shawl!

You've gotten a lot done on your KAL project this week! And the beau and I should really have a cleaning day this weekend as well, but we're both plopped on the couch and loving it. Oh well!

Holy moly, speed knitter! You're seriously like a knitting machine! Your projects look amazing! Would you say that you are a fast knitter, or someone who spends a lot of time knitting?

The lace looks so lovely! I am not really seeing any blurriness, so I don't think you have anything to worry about there.

No snow for us in NYC. Sigh. I'm a little jealous of everybody else's. But I'm sure as soon as it comes, I'll be complaining about it.

Your shawl looks so pretty. I love the pattern and the color of the yarn. I'm moving slowly on mine ... sometimes it can take an hour to do two rows! It's challenging having to concentrate so hard, but I'm hoping it will get easier with time.
