Echo Flower is done!

Yup, I have a finished object for you! I finished the Echo Flower shawl late, late last night, as I couldn't sleep due to my stupid stomach, and I've blocked it today. I love blocking lace weight yarn, as it dries in no time at all.

I'm very pleased with this one too, and the blocking really worked like magic on this one. I think it grew to double size! But after blocking the size is just perfect, it hangs down to the middle of my but in the back. So I'll wear this one as a shawl, as it is a bit too big to wear as a scarf, so I'll probably use it more once spring rolls around. And can you believe this is my third shawl for 2010! I don't see a huge problem in finishing 10 this year....

So how are you all celebrating Valentine's day? We're not really celebrating valentine's as Thomas' birhtday was just four days ago, and none of us miss this holiday very much. Especially now that my stomach is acting up, I think we're just going to watch some old movie or something tonight.

Yesterday I aslo swatched some for a new pair of gloves! I'm going to cast on for a pair of Guenivere gloves, and I tried a few of my stash yarns for it. I think I have decided to use the green Drops Delight yarn that I bought a while ago, but I'm a bit hesitant about it. I've heard that it is so loosely spun that it is a bit fragile in places, and also that it is very variable in the thickness. I guess I'll just have to try it out for myself. I noticed the thickness vaiability in the swatch, but it wasn't a huge problem to me. I like the feel of the yarn, so I think I'll use it!

And as I've finished my third shawl for the year, I think I'll probably cast on for the nextone tonight! I haven't really decided which one it will be, but I think I'm leaning towards the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star shawl. I really look forward to knitting with the Pälsull yarn that I've planned for this shawl, so I think I'll start this one. Or maybe one of the Windsbraut shawls? I'll tell you about it soon, I promise!

Wow! Your shawl is beautiful. I just casted on my first shawl ever yesterday. It's the Multnomah shawl a simple one for beginners.

My hubby and I will be having wine, chocolate and a movie at home tonight for Valentines.

That shawl is gorgeous!

We're not really doing anything for Valentine's day. Other than hanging out and watching a movie.

Beautiful shawl! That edging is so cool.

Sorry to hear your stomach's not feeling good :( For Valentines day my boyfriend helped me shop for jeans (lol, I know, but it desperately needed to be done and he was a very good helper) and we went out for a nice dinner.
