It's finally done!

I didn't finish the Aeolian in time for the party on Friday, but that was ok. I also spoke too soon about the dress fitting me... The first time I tried it on, I had no brah on, and when I tried it with one on, my boobs almost fell out of the cleavage! Obviously, I've gained some weight there too... Luckily enough, Anna has the exact same dress, but in one size larger, so I went over to her an borrowed that one instead! Of course I forgot to take a photo of me in it, but it fitted much better. And I wore a black cardigan with it instead, which was lucky as the dining room we were in was very cold! It was a great party, and I had very nice dinner company seated next to me too.

But yesterday night I finally finished the shawl! I've blocked it today, and I can honestly say that this is the most beautiful project I've ever knitted! I'm so happy that I decided to make it with the very luxurious yarn, and I'll probably wear it every day from now on :)

I have some yarn left over, and I'm actually thinking of making myself some more fingerless gloves of it. We'll see what I decide. I'll also try to get some daylight photos of it soon, because I just can't seem to get a good photo of the beads, as the flash is much to bright to take that kind of close-up. I think I might have used about 1500 beads in this one...

And the KnitPicks yarn has reached Nalamienea now, so hopefully it will get here in about 2 weeks! Yay! I'm really looking forward to it, and judging by her blog, there is a lot of it :)

Today I've worked a bit on my red Echo Flower shawl, and it's really nice to not have to put in a lot of beads! It's quite a fast knit so far, although I'm still only making repeats of the first Flower Chart. But I like it a lot, and I think it will be beautiful once it's done. I'm also thinking about starting a new shawl soon, I kind of liked working on two different ones at the same time. Or maybe I should just finish up some of my WIP's, as I'm doing good time on the 10 shawls in 2010 challenge. I actually can't believe I've finished two in January! I really would like to finish the green top-down bolero that is actually almost finished, so maybe I'll work on that one for a few days.

Now I'm going to bed so I can go to work tomorrow. I'm foreseeing a lot of body pain tomorrow, as I've just been to my first workout for this year... I wonder what I'll wear, to match my new shawl? :)

Wow, that shawl looks really impressive. I've never made a shawl with laceweight yet and I was considering doing that same pattern for my first, but I think I'll reconsider and do that for my second or third instead. It looks a little intimidating to start with.
And congrats on finishing 2 in one month! That's really impressive!
